Dear Friends and Family,

Welcome to my half-marathon home page!

As some of you know I am running the Miami Half Marathon this Sunday January 27th as a member of a non-profit organization I hold close to my heart - Be Bright Pink. My decision to run was based on a few life-altering events that occurred this past year.

Exactly one year ago my mother, my hero, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. After many months of ups and downs, we can now proudly say that she is cancer free and taking preventative measures to stay that way. Her own mental and physical strength has inspired me to take action.

I am completing this event in honor of all those suffering from Breast and Ovarian Cancer and to encourage young women to be proactive with their breast and ovarian health. Bright Pink aims to educate, support and provide a sense of community for high risk individuals and women everywhere.

Please help me empower young women everywhere to take control of their lives and make a donation to support Be Bright Pink.

Suggest donation: $1 per mile I complete = $13.10. Every little bit counts. If everyone donates just $13.10, we can make a difference and take a proactive stance to fight this disease.

Be Brilliant. Be Bold. Be Bright Pink.

If you are in the Miami area, I would love for you to come cheer me on. I will be wearing a pink “Bright Pink” t-shirt and black shorts. For event details visit http://www.ingmiamimarathon.com/PreRace/CheeringFinish.cfm

Warmest regards,

Amy
